Hi, welcome to our very first blog post!!
A few people have been asking what #CleanIsKing is and what it means … well here we are to tell you, and to shout about someone whom has been giving the campaign a go.
Clean Eating and Drinking is the consumption of only natural products – This means that any product that you look to eat has no processing, nothing refined, is not bleached, and is either direct or extracted from natural sources and unchanged. ViVA Drinks are completely clean products.
As some of you may already know, our in-house marketeer took part in our very own #CleanIsKing campaign. It’s been 28 days now and, although it was a struggle, he has decided to share his results and explain how he went about getting through the task.
Day 1 – Paul looked to stock up on lots of bits and pieces that would help him to success … as well as taking a fair few ViVA Drinks home in order to get him well on his way!! He made sure to buy wholegrain products that were free from any processing, and stocked up on fruits, meats, vegetables and a few sauces that were completely ‘clean’ too! He knew that to start, you had to be prepared, and being prepared, meant that he could well and truly start!!
Day 7 – Paul had been going for a week now. It was becoming more obvious that he really wanted a chocolate biscuit from the office to go with his green tea. We noticed that plenty of his meals were similar on many days, but that he simply couldn’t bring in something to chuck in the microwave – his meals were always pre-made, but definitely sounded great when mixed with the various ViVAs he’d been having. Paul said, so far, his favourites were most definitely Mind and Detox… as they kept his Mind from his cravings and felt like they were helping to cleanse his body.
Day 14 – With week two over, Paul felt that he was really gaining some traction with it all. He began to know exactly what products he was after when going to supermarkets (bypassing any impulse buys on naughty foods), and was learning quickly about the products he could and couldn’t have. He noted that there were lots more products on the market that he couldn’t have, than he could … good job that we’re on the CAN HAVE list!! He’d been drinking lots more Defence this week as he fell ill with a cold (poor Paul) but stuck to the regime with real vigour.
Day 21 – We offered him biscuit after biscuit, but Paul’s defiance to go through with the programme was admirable. He’d done really well, and despite the odd rant and moan, Paul had come a long way. We saw that he would crack open many more Calms this week, and to our amazement, he started exclaiming that he was noticing changes to his health – he felt more awake, more refreshed, and even that his stamina had risen when attending the gym. The psychology was showing on his face too – to feel better is definitely to look better!!
Day 28 – The final day. Paul has come a long way in a short time, and actually, has vowed to carry on eating and drinking clean (for the most part) as he feels that it’ll continue to help him on his way. Every now and again he feels that it wouldn’t harm him to succumb to the odd craving, but all in all, he is really happy with where he has gotten to. If he were to take part again, Paul says that he would try to mix the way in which he drank the ViVAs in order to get maximum effect from each one; but is really happy with the experience, and hopes that more and more people will look to take part.
